Franken Polish: Enchanted Forest.
So guys and gals I have a franken for you. Its funny I've been mixing polishes together to make new colors for years and just this year found out its called "Frankening". Now I wish I still had the ones I made in middle and high school. But enough of that let's get down to business, so todays franken is called Enchanted Forest. The formula for this polish is 1/2 NYC Starry Silver Glitter,1/4 NYC Big Money Frost, 1/4 NYC Empire State Blue, and less then 1/4 of any Black creme. Shake well and Viola Enchanted Forest. Excuse the chipped and smudged nail. This lacquer is opaque in 2 coats and the scattered holo glitter thru out is awesome. The pictures do a good job but they just don't quite capture the gorgeousness of this green. Href='http://lh6.ggpht.com/_dWy9r5Kldno/TE_F_UtJJOI/AAAAAAAAAmI/vFw9_T6Hmsk/2010-07-27%2021.42.05.jpg'>

NOTD: SH DVD
So my nail of the day is kind of a two-fer because I wasnt the only one in my house rocking this charmer. Sally Hansen's DVD is my new favorite polish. My aunt has been wearing this since I did her nails like 3 wks ago with weekly touch ups. This is my second foray with wearing this polish. Ive only used this polish a handful of times and the bottle is already a third ways empty so Ive been trying figure how I can get the polish to stretch. Its a beautiful color but it takes 3-5 coats to get it opaque enough not to have VNL. So my trick is to layer 1 coat over 1-2 coats of black lacquer. Oh the joy this polish brings I could stare at this all day. Well my little twin Brianna is also sporting this color because she wanted grown up nails like her mommy. Grown up nails really?? It seems recently Ive been turning my family into as big of polish junkies as I am. Ive got my cousin wearing Pure Ice Wild Thing (my fave shrek green polish). You know its bad when we go shopping and I should buy just so they can wear them. Talk about enabling my habit.
Mani- Fail
This monstrousity of lovely neon brightness was my attempt at a stained glass affect manicure. It didnt turn out so well in my opinion. Though I love how nicely the colors compliment each other. I thought the colors would be a problem because of how close they are on the color wheel. Its funny I like the awesomely badness of this mani. Ill defintely use these colors together again maybe in a sponge affect or water marble if I ever figure that out. Oh Im sorry in all my rambling I forgot to tell you all the colors I used. The colors are WNW Wild Shine in Sunny Side Up, N.Y.C. Time Square Tangerine Creme, E.L.F. Fire Coral, and LA Colors Art Deco in Black . Until next time Lovelies.

Nutra Nail Challenge 1st week
Be forewarned bare nails lie below. Today brings to close week 1 of my nutra nail challenge. I can honestly say that this product works. I in a moment of weakness bit my nails down to nothingness. I do believe I told you guys Im an ex- nail biter but sometimes I fall short and this was one of those times. But the Nutra Nail Growth Formula plus green tea and acai berry is a godsend because it truly works. If my Nails comtinue to grow at this rate every week I seriously doubt that ill be trying to bite them off. Im quite happy right now.

Rite-Aid Haul
Well I went in Rite aid (my fave polish hauling store) for cold and sinus medicine because I'm all stopped up. As you guys well know its highly impossible for me to go into any store and not peruse the cosmetics aisle. Low and behold rite aid was having a BOGO 50% off sale on Sally Hansen Maybelline Loreal And Cover Girl. So I got two of the Sally Hansen HD lacquers in DVD and LITE(which came with a free gift of full size Double Duty base&topcoat). Then I came across to Wet N Wild I just had to have in my collection Dreamy Poppy and Lavendar Creme. I topped that off with a Kiss acrylic fill set, Nutra Nail growth formula plus green tea and acai berry, and 3 N.Y.C. lipsticks in Mahogany, Cafe, and Violet Shine. I stopped into Dollar General to see if they had refilled their supply of Poshe super fast drying topcoat. The two they had left I snatched up with the quickness and that was the end of my polish hauling. Now I'm off to do some swatching. Also I missed E.L.F.s 60% off sale yesterday but I went and ordered all the polishes except the 5 I got for free in my last order as well as their new matte topcoat. I will probably do a comparison between that and China Glaze's matte topcoat. Bye Guys Happy Polishing.

Peelies and Flakies be gone
Well guys and dolls I sure do hope all is well. Its been hella hot on the Eastern Shore of MD lately. But anyways before I get sidetracked. Though I'm not quite sure whom the culprit is Im going to blame it on the hot weather and water. The skin around my nails is really starting to resemble that of a snake, the HORROR. I had noticed that my hands felt drier than usual but didnt really pay it much mind that is until I got out the shower today. When mid air dry ( I know I was being lazy) I happened to lookd down at my digits and was mortified at the way they were peeling like crazy. Its funny because as a child I loved when this happened, my mom used to tell me it was my summer skin coming in "LOL", as an adult I hate it. So I drenched my hands in Vaseline brand cocoa butter lotion which basically laughed in my face because it did squat ten minutes later my digits looked just as bad. Then I remembered I kept the good stuff in my bag. My holy grail hand creams are Nivea Renewal Hand Cream and Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive. The Nivea is lighter than the Avon but just as good. The Nivea on its own is not enough to do battle with my peelies and flakies but team it up with the Moisture Therapy and my hands are in hand creme heaven.
