Christmas Goodies Part 1

So I decided to make good use of all the extra time being outta commission do to this nasty bug I caught. Otherwise known as swatching most if not all the pretty polishes I received for Christmas.
So I thought I'd show you gals Color Club's Rebel Debutante collection which I received from the world's greatest bestie bka Ms. Ty. I will say please excuse the coloring in these pics it seems my camera has also taken ill as all photos are not accurate at all. Most of these polishes are browner or not as pink as portrayed. Once well I shall reswatch them. But until then ....

Well these bottle shots are accurate at least

Yuletide Fun

Happy Holidays everyone. So sorry I had had planned on putting up a post before Christmas but things got to hectic. I hope everyones Christmas was enjoyable.
Mines was great but now Im balled up it my room sick taking shots of NyQuil. *bartender Make that a double* ha ha ha

Anyways China Glaze Mrs. Claus is one of my newest acquisitons and I wuv her very much.

This actually my christmas mani. So dark yet so sparkly. Its kelier crack polish in black over CG Mrs. Claus. I love this look so much I still have it despite how horribly chipped it is. Im not sure if Im just to lazy or too sick to take it off. Either way im feeling very emo at the moment.
I rekindled my relationship with vodka on Christmas Eve and as my mom puts it got 'White Gurl Wasted'. Christmas I was more ladylike and took to sipping moscato and white zinfandel straight from the bottle. Good times all around.

My bestie Ms Ty gifted me this pretty shirt for Christmas.

Wild About Color

I recently purchased the Sinful Colors Wild About Color mini giftset from Walgreen's. I believe this retails for around $4.99 at Walgreen's. Im so loving their mini bottles, they are so adorable. This would make a great gift for the person in your life who likes nail polish or for yourself if your like me.

They come packaged in this adorable red and zebra print bag. *Something That will no doubt find its way to Bri's toy box* So this is most appropriate for the holiday season because they choose wintery colors. These are all repromotes if Im not mistaken. Now on to the swatches.

San Francisco is a gorgeous jewel toned dark green. This was one coat (opaque enough to the naked eye) but obviously the camera doesnt lie I could have used another coat.
**All Polishes are without topcoat

Rich at Heart is a gorge plummy brown color. This is my #1 fave of this set. Its the perfect vampy plum.

Sugar Sugar is hands down the best Christmas red ever. Sugar Sugar is a fantastic glass flecked red. Trust me when I say this is beautiful. My pictures as usual dont do this beauty justice.

All About You is the most bling-tastic Ive ever seen. Im seriously beating myself up about passing on this last time I saw it. Gorgeous gold shimmer with red micro fleck/glitter. What's not to love about this? This is my other fave. I have definitely found my new favorite gold polish.

Last but definitely not least is Secret Admirer. She is a black with pewter shimmer flecks running through out. The pewter shimmer is what stops this from being like any other silvery black polish. I already had this in a full size bottle and I believe I featured this back in May.
With that being said Im off to do mommy daugther mani pedis with Brianna. So Ill catch you lovelies on the flipside.
Happy Polishing

Face Candy Couture

I recently stumbled across a new to me cosmetics brand called Face Candy Couture thanks to Kayotic Makeup. I contacted the lovely owner Shantle and was able to sample some eyeshadow pigments from Face Candy Couture. The pigments I received were Clarissa, Nicole's Green, Chill, Pretty, and Damask Grey. *they Are swatched in the same order below* They are all pretty colors and highly pigmented and super easy to apply. The samples came packaged in little baggies. Though the note included claims this is enough for one application I could easily do a couple of looks with these samples.

So instead of just swatching the colors I did a look incorporating all of the colors. And because you all know my camera is sucky I included several pics.

Im really liking these pigments and definitely plan on making a purchase after the New Year. My favorites are Pretty Clarissa , and damask grey. You can find out more about these and everything else Shantle has to offer at Face Candy Couture or

Black don't Crack?

Well thats not always true because this black most definitely cracks . Now I know everyone has heard the old adage that 'Black don't crack' especially if you grew up in a black home.
As usual my thought process went awry so back on track. I recently purchased Kelier Nails Crack polish in black from Born Pretty Store. I love it even though its kind of tricky to apply. So after the holidays are over I will be going to the site to purchase the rest of the colors. I really dont feel like going into a full on review but I think the fact that I would rebuy and plan to in the very near future speaks volumes. So now its picture time. This black crack polish over Sally Hansen Insta-dri in Lightening.

Belle's Galaxy

I recently acquired the Revlon's Galaxy and Belle glitter topcoat. Now for those who really know me I abhor glitter because its messy and gets everywhere. What they probably dont know is that I love love love glitter nail polish, but who wouldnt love blingy sparkly nails. So Im sure you gals have probably already seen these polishes so I didnt do regular swatches. I decided to show how these look layered over other three different polishes.

So this is Belle. From left to right here she is layered over SH Concrete, a grey franken,Avon black as night, and 3 coats by itself. I personally like Belle layered over lighter colors like the concrete and the grey franken.

Well obviously this beauty is Galaxy and after seeing this over black I can definitely see how it got its name. Layered from left to right here is Galaxy over CC Chelsea Girl, 3 coats by itself, the grey franken, and Avon black as night. Galaxy is one which is at its most high over black or dark polishes.
Well thats it for today I hope all is well and I dont know about everyone else but I am uber tired of this holiday and wish it would go away already.
Until next time lovelies

NOTD:Revlon Hushed Blush

Happy Holidays Luvlies. This one of the Revlons that I picked up from Big Lots last week. They have the two packs for $2 (so if you have been drooling or Galaxy or Belle go check that out mine had tons of them). Anyways this was in the pack with Galaxy. Now I admit this probably not a color I would have given a shot had it had been sitting alone. I got the pack because I needed Galaxy but once I saw Hushed Blush I was smitten. This was actually the one I was the most excited to wear out of all the new polishes I got last week. Its like a golden peachy coral beige-y color if that makes any sense. I cant explain it but its so demure and adult and sophisicated so not my usual vampy, moody or eye blindingly bright colors. Its calming and I love it. So enough talk and allow me to introduce Hushed Blush...

So until next time
