Review: Loreal One Sweep Shadow + Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara

The quality that i usually expect with loreal just wasn't there. It one sweep shadow would have been an excellent idea if it had been properly executed. The colors were nice but there was no pigmentation and the applicator was a no go firstly because no 2 eyes are shaped the same so to have a universal shadow applicator was ridiculous. I attempted to use this with my regular makeup brushes but the strips of color are entirely to thin to make that work.

I almost enjoyed the mascara. It was a great formula on the black base coat but the shimmer eye enhancer could use some work.

FYI; I received these products for free in exchange for my honest review. Im a bzzagent. All opinions are mine and mines alone.

Notd: Purple Oceans

This started off as a quick mani of Avon Violetta from their matte collection thrown on with some topcoat before I ran catch my bus for work. Well I found it too very blah on its on so when I got home which was rather quickly I might add I added a layer of Covered in Diamonds from Color Club's untamed luxuries collection. Sidenote I just acquired the second part of that collection from Ross yesterday. So now I have the full collection I just got find where I put my bottle of Ms. Hautie. I also reorganized my polishes again so their not everywhere. Honestly I think its time for a helmer, melmer, or at least a filing cabinet...

Who are you wearing @ the charity ball

Sorry for the sucky name um its a play on the polish names. Who are you wearing? and Charity Ball are from the Rebel Debutante collection by Color Club. This was inspired by the Queen of Dotting at Another Bottle of Polish. I was itching to try this and I'm so glad I did I loved it.

Color Cub Total Mystery

Hello dolls. Hope all is well I'm doing great, so sorry to the lack of post. I've been really busy at my new job. So I've always been a lover of royal blue polish and this one I have today is no exception. Total Mystery is from Color Club's Alter Ego collection. This polish totally reminds me of my all time favorite polish Skin Tight Denim by NYC on acid. Total Mystery is a royal blue with pink and purple micro shimmer throught. Its really pronounced in the bottle but kinda subtle on the nail. It really shines in full sunlight or bright lights. This is either 2 or 3 coats of along with base and top coat. Application wise this is a little hard to work with because the polish is thick already and it gets thick the longer the bottle is open. Though that's nothing a lil thinner can't fix and it dries semi matte so topcoat is a must.

New to me Brand: Mega Dare

Hey dolls this another new polish brand at least to me that I picked up from Ross about a week and a half ago. Sorry I'm so late with posting this I've been uber busy at work. Mega Dare polishes are manufactured by Dare Cosmetics. This particular collection is called Heart 'N' Roll. The bottles resemble the Tres Risk bottles except Mega Dare have these really cool Ed Hardy-esque designs on their bottles. This collection truly embodies it's moniker with glitzy and sparkly lacquers with names like Superstar and Grammy Night.

ltr on nails fame &fortune, grammy night, clubbing on sunset, and superstar

*sorry for the bad bottle shots*

Grammy Night (dark purple) and COS (blue) both contain silver microglitter. Fame & Fortune is a teal that has a mix of teal and silver microglitter / shimmer. Last but not least Superstar is a light purple with silver blue and pink microglitter. These dry semi flat so topcoat is a must. These retail for $4.99 at Ross.

Frugal Chicas Medicine Chest

So last week we talked about overpriced medicine cabinet staples. Well today I went perusing my neighborhood Dollar Tree and low and behold looky looky what I found at the register dressed up tweezers. I remember seeing in the blog-sphere the lady shaped tweezers. Well hit up your local dollar store to see if they have hit your area yet. I got 2 pairs but I plan on going back to snatch up the rest that caught my eye.

Holy Grail Product : J R Watkins Lemon Creme Shea Butter, maybe?

I know this is not a expected post for this month but I love this stuff or rather my hands do. I picked this up at Ross about a week ago not really expecting anything except for my hands to smell really edible. I'm not sure where this is regularly sold but I need every jar in creation its just that good. I purchased it on smell alone because it smells like someone took the lemon icing my mom used to use when she baked and mixed it with shea butter and decided to sell it. Upon opening this I immediately died and went to heaven.i just want to lick my hands because they smell so darn good. Oh and did I mention the price $2.49 for such a yummy smelling non greasy highly moisturizing hand cream like really what more could you ask for besides world peace and a million dollars. If anyone knows where I can find acquire infinite amounts of this please please comment below.

Designer medicine cabinet

Would you be game to spending $10 for 20 band-aids just because they were designed by Cynthia Rowley? Well how about $25 for tweezers designed by Betsey Johnson? These are nice but I personally think that they are over priced and useless because if I pay that much for bandages no one better use them but thats just me. So I want to know what you think?

Valentine's Violets #2

So today's violet exactly isn't something I'm wearing buy rather a swatch I never got around you showing you guys. This no-name purple duochrome is from the Hard Candy X-mas 2010 gift sets. Its a really pretty polish. I'm not sure about anyone else but it really irks the hell out of me when a company that usually has great product names purposely doesn't name something just because its limited edition or seasonal. So on that note I hereby proclaim this polish to hence forth be called "Grapely Appreciated ".
