NOTD: SH DVD

So my nail of the day is kind of a two-fer because I wasnt the only one in my house rocking this charmer. Sally Hansen's DVD is my new favorite polish. My  aunt has been wearing this since I did her nails like 3 wks ago with weekly touch ups. This is my second foray with wearing this polish. Ive only used this polish a handful of times and the bottle is already a third ways empty so Ive been trying figure how I can get the polish to stretch. Its a beautiful color but it takes 3-5 coats to get it opaque enough not to have VNL. So my trick is to layer 1 coat over 1-2 coats of black lacquer. Oh the joy this polish brings I could stare at this all day. Well my little twin Brianna is also sporting this color because she wanted grown up nails like her mommy. Grown up nails really?? It seems recently Ive been turning my family into as big of polish junkies as I am. Ive got my cousin wearing Pure Ice Wild Thing (my fave shrek green polish). You know its bad when we go shopping and I should buy just so they can wear them. Talk about enabling my habit.

NOTD: Wild Thing

Well I took my falsies (tips) off on Sunday or Monday because I really need to let my nailbeds breathe. Im in the process of letting my nails grow back out. Sidenote Im an ex-nail biter and fake nail enthusiast which neither of the latter is very healthy in my opinion. I still on occasion find myself with my fingers in my mouth.  Well let be get back on track. This lovely that I've been wearing since Sunday by Pure Ice is Wild Thing. Wild Thing is a true shrek green with a really great consistency it wasnt too thick or too thin. This is technically a one coater but I used two. This is the second time I've tried out this polish in the last two weeks. The first time being on my falsies and the second on my natural nails. The only drawback I've seen so far is that they stained my falsies something fierce even though I used a basecoat. Which is part of why I removed them. So I did two coats of basecoat this time. I really have not had a issue with tipwear.   So anyone knows a good nail hardener and and something to strengthen and grow them please let me know?

NOTD: I Lilac it when You Kiss Me Here

Ok so this is the nail of the day. It starter off as the plain lilac and grey french but then I decided to try my fauxnad plates and see how it looks. The polishes used are pure ice Kiss Me Here and e.l.f.s Lilac. I got the kiss me here when i went to walmart looking for the pure ice Wild Thing they had and I spied this gorgeous grey and just had to have it. Ive had the lilac for a while now and never used it so i thought I'd give it a try. Boy was I surprised when it turned out to be the cutest french manicure Ive ever had. So sorry that my hands look horrendous are the cuticle and whatnot hadnt gotten around to clean before I snapped the pictures.
