Gel Polish: Blue 10

Well if you follow me on youtube I then you know that I recently made a small purchase from maytheps. Its a website that sells nail art supplies such as acrylic powder, nail art brushes, gel nail kits, fimo slices, nail decals, crystals and such. the main reason for my purchase was to get more uv soak off gel polishes to use with my new led lamp. I ordered 23 gel polishes and one magnetic polish.  My absolutely fave polish that I purchased would have to be the blue Im about to show you. The pictures don't really do it justice.

The polish is from a company called Hong Nuo. Unfortunately the polishes don't have names just numbers so this is #10. The pictures are are a tad bit lighter in real life, I took these from my webcam because I misplaced my camera. Im also trying out a new app on my computer, Poladroid, it turns your pics into vintage-y polaroid. It reminds me of my childhood and my mom always reminding me not to fingerprint the photo.  Well I would of had a picture of last night snowfall but it had all disappeared this morning so maybe next time. Enjoy the photos.

Color Cub Total Mystery

Hello dolls. Hope all is well I'm doing great, so sorry to the lack of post. I've been really busy at my new job. So I've always been a lover of royal blue polish and this one I have today is no exception. Total Mystery is from Color Club's Alter Ego collection. This polish totally reminds me of my all time favorite polish Skin Tight Denim by NYC on acid. Total Mystery is a royal blue with pink and purple micro shimmer throught. Its really pronounced in the bottle but kinda subtle on the nail. It really shines in full sunlight or bright lights. This is either 2 or 3 coats of along with base and top coat. Application wise this is a little hard to work with because the polish is thick already and it gets thick the longer the bottle is open. Though that's nothing a lil thinner can't fix and it dries semi matte so topcoat is a must.

I'mmm Back

So my impromptu blogcation is now over. *Yay Doing happy dance* Im so so glad to be reconnected with the world virtual and otherwise. And who can I thank for this minor miracle, none other than oh so great step-mommy (whom I've only met once but I love her oodles). Shes like my best friend we can talk about any and everything except her and daddy's bedroom action ( cause thats just gross. Plus Im a firm believer that neither of my parents or my aunts/uncles actually have sex. LMAO).
As usual my thought train got derailed. *HaHa* I was trying to say Im back and I shall have several new post up by the end of this week. So without further adieu lets get started.

Base~ SH nail quencher

Blue Raspberry Snowmen

This is one of the snowman polishes that they sell at Rite-Aid. Theses are made by Blue Cross Beauty Products. Im not familiar with them but their polishes are really good. I would so recommend going out and snatching these up asap. This color reminds me of the snowballs I used to get from the neighborhood candyman when I was a child. Its a wonder I never had cavities as a child. Anywho this a one coater *yay me* and this is also great for stamping. Im not too big on polish terminology but I believe that this would be deemed a foil by the nail goddess.

Per usual my basecoat was Nail Tek Foundation II.I switched it up for my topcoat I used NYC Extra Shiny Topcoat, Im really liking this it dries super fast and only cost $1. So whats not to love.

Wet n Wild Does Halloween

Hey guys so these are the polishes that I purchased from Wet n Wild's halloween collection( well except Night Prowl). The polishes from l to r are Night Prowl,Blue Jitters, Night Owl, Dark Shadow, and Black Fog.

*excuse my alligator skin..yikes*
Yes I was being lazy I really didnt feel like swatching. So here they are thumb to pinkie the same as the bottle shot above. This one is sans *without for the non french speaker*topcoat.

And here they are with topcoat. Is it just me or does Night Prowl kinda resemble Ch G Mummy May I which I showed yesterday. * Me thinks I need to do a comparison soon* I think my favorite of these my pointer *Blu Jitters* because its got the blurple base with the blurple mircoglitter so depending on which angle you look at its purple, blue, or a mixture of both. All of these swatches were 2 coats except for Black Fog *which by the way is not black at all its dark blue*. The other two dont really interest me. In the bottle Night Owl *middle finger* looks really cool black cherry base with holo micro glitter but on the nail it totally overpowered by the base( basically they wasted holo glitter because you cant even see it on). Dark Shadow * ring finger* is really dupey its a basic black with silver microglitter, seriously nothing special here if you already have a black with silver glitter then you dont need this.
Well I hope everyboo-dy has a safe and spooky Halloween.

Black n Blue French

So this is the NOTD I just finished doing. Im really loving this look. I not going to lie I hate color blue( I blame that on working at Wal-Mart. I hate tan as well) but absolutely love blue nail polish. Does that make sense? Probably not but Im weird I know anyways. These snowman which I purchased at Rite-Aid *oh how I love thee* don't list the colors on the label, it just says snowman. The blue is actually blue on the nail than it is in the bottle I was expecting it to be more silver and other is just silver holographic glitter in a clear base. Holo the snowman as he shall now be called is droolworthy when the light hits it. Anyways thats all for now. Oh and the black LA Colors art deco in black.

Length Check and then Disaster Struck

So these were my nails when I did my length check last week. Oh how I love this length I cant believe my nails are this long. Who would have thought that a ex habitual nail biter would have digits that look this great.

And then disaster struck on Monday. Still not sure how it happened but it did. I had a tear down in my nail bed that hurt like the dickens. I would have patched it but I could find any glue and it hurt to damn much. I cried dead ass. Im so damn sad about this.

Ok brace yourselves *shudders*

STOP
*Eeeek*

Oh and by the way if your wondering the polish Im wearing is Wet N Wild Eggplant Frost. Get a load of that gorgeous blue shimmer. *Drools just think about it* This is actually the messy manicure I just took off.

Dupe Alert: Color Club Pure Energy vs. Nina Blu Blaze

So I snatched up and I really do mean snatched up 2 Color Club collection set at Ross on Sunday. I got the Poptastic and ElectroCandy sets at $7.99 each you cant beat it with a stick.

When I got home I added them to my stash spreadsheet. It wasnt until then that I realized that Pure Energy of the electrocandy coll highly resembled the Nina polish I wore on last wednesday. So decided to do a bottle comparison.
Same shade of blue and exact same blue/green/teal shimmer.
Honestly if I hadnt polished my nails myself I would have have known these were 2 seperated polishes or which finger was painted with which. Though I will say that Blu Blaze though it dries to a semi matte is way shinier than Pure Energy.  With that being said all pictures are with topcoat.

Excuse the shot of my naked thumb. So I really dont see the need to have both of these polishes in your collection. If I have created a lemming for anyone with this post Blu Blaze is more readily available at Sally's Beauty. Or if your like me you can go stalk your local Ross to see if you can find the ElectroCandy set.
So which do you own either of these polishes if not both and which do you prefer?
