New to me Brand: Mega Dare

Hey dolls this another new polish brand at least to me that I picked up from Ross about a week and a half ago. Sorry I'm so late with posting this I've been uber busy at work. Mega Dare polishes are manufactured by Dare Cosmetics. This particular collection is called Heart 'N' Roll. The bottles resemble the Tres Risk bottles except Mega Dare have these really cool Ed Hardy-esque designs on their bottles. This collection truly embodies it's moniker with glitzy and sparkly lacquers with names like Superstar and Grammy Night.

Grammy Night (dark purple) and COS (blue) both contain silver microglitter. Fame & Fortune is a teal that has a mix of teal and silver microglitter / shimmer. Last but not least Superstar is a light purple with silver blue and pink microglitter. These dry semi flat so topcoat is a must. These retail for $4.99 at Ross.

So my impromptu blogcation is now over. *Yay Doing happy dance* Im so so glad to be reconnected with the world virtual and otherwise. And who can I thank for this minor miracle, none other than oh so great step-mommy (whom I've only met once but I love her oodles). Shes like my best friend we can talk about any and everything except her and daddy's bedroom action ( cause thats just gross. Plus Im a firm believer that neither of my parents or my aunts/uncles actually have sex. LMAO).
As usual my thought train got derailed. *HaHa* I was trying to say Im back and I shall have several new post up by the end of this week. So without further adieu lets get started.

Belle's Galaxy

I recently acquired the Revlon's Galaxy and Belle glitter topcoat. Now for those who really know me I abhor glitter because its messy and gets everywhere. What they probably dont know is that I love love love glitter nail polish, but who wouldnt love blingy sparkly nails. So Im sure you gals have probably already seen these polishes so I didnt do regular swatches. I decided to show how these look layered over other three different polishes.

So this is Belle. From left to right here she is layered over SH Concrete, a grey franken,Avon black as night, and 3 coats by itself. I personally like Belle layered over lighter colors like the concrete and the grey franken.

Well obviously this beauty is Galaxy and after seeing this over black I can definitely see how it got its name. Layered from left to right here is Galaxy over CC Chelsea Girl, 3 coats by itself, the grey franken, and Avon black as night. Galaxy is one which is at its most high over black or dark polishes.
Well thats it for today I hope all is well and I dont know about everyone else but I am uber tired of this holiday and wish it would go away already.

Notd: Girls Nite Glitter

So my mom's bestie called me and asked could I bring my nail stuff because her mom wanted her nails done. Since Im not one to turn done making a lil extra money I obliged and packed *more like tossed* damn near all my polished and manicure kit into my pink argyle Dickies tote. DAMN I never realized how heavy or how huge my collection had gotten. I usually put everything in a rollaway bookbag. Anyways to make a long story short I went to do one persons nails and everyone ended up with polished pretties all abeit my lil wuvmuffin *bka my not so lil baby brother*. Thankfully I only did 2 manis not including Bri. Everybody else took turns polishing each others nails. And yours truly got someone else to do my nails for a How nice I miss being able to relax while someone else polishes my pretties. Thanks Mz Chilous. And finaallly on to the pictures.
This is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Call Me Later. The ring finger mattified with E.L.F. Matte finisher.Unfortunateky I wasnt able to really capture the blingtasticness on my camera. Its green round glitter with gold microglitter. In the pictures my nails look yellow but thats just the glitter. Im gonna have hell removing this glitter bomb.

ChG Awakening Collection: Mummy May I & Zombie Zest

This is Mummy May I. She is a purply fuschia glitter in a dark purple base. This was a must have for me because of the strong resemblance to Deborah Lippmans Bad Romance. Plus you guys know I love purples.

Ok so Zombie Zest is my reason for buying this set. This murky dismal *chile I still loves me some Rainbow Brite* olive green is glass flecked and just gorgeousness. This is 3 coats as this sheer. The pictures really dont do it justice its darker irl.

Anywho is it just me or all the names for this collection just kickass. Because its a holiday collection I beleive it is limited edition so go get these asap before they are gone. I just love how China Glaze does holidays.

ChG Awakening Collection : Ick-a-bod-y

Well since its getting around that time. I thought I would showcase the China Glaze halloween collection 2010: Awakening.

This showstopper is Ick-a-bod-y. Its a orange glitter suspended in a murky green base. This is 2 coats with topcoat. Im surprised at how much I like this one.

Black n Blue French

So this is the NOTD I just finished doing. Im really loving this look. I not going to lie I hate color blue( I blame that on working at Wal-Mart. I hate tan as well) but absolutely love blue nail polish. Does that make sense? Probably not but Im weird I know anyways. These snowman which I purchased at Rite-Aid *oh how I love thee* don't list the colors on the label, it just says snowman. The blue is actually blue on the nail than it is in the bottle I was expecting it to be more silver and other is just silver holographic glitter in a clear base. Holo the snowman as he shall now be called is droolworthy when the light hits it. Anyways thats all for now. Oh and the black LA Colors art deco in black.
